Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca has urged fans to trust him and said the team is improving under him.
The 45-year-old Italian saw some fans boo his side as the Blues trailed at home to Ipswich on Sunday as they came from behind to draw 2-2.

“The message is that with the fans behind us, we are the better team. I understand that as a team we have to engage with our fans. That’s not something we can do on Sunday, especially in the 20 or 25 minutes. We also have to play well enough to engage our fans.”
One of Chelsea’s pre-season targets was to qualify for the Champions League, but Sunday’s draw left the club sixth in the Premier League table.
With the top five teams now qualifying for Europe’s top club competitions, Maresca is looking to continue his record as Chelsea manager, adding: “I think we have proven this season (that we are progressing), even if sometimes it is difficult to see from the outside.”
