
Manchester United have announced the appointment of Jelle Ten Ruvelar as goalkeeping coach, joining Erik Ten Hag’s backroom staff.
“Jelle has experience in English football and he has great innovation in goalkeeping, a new approach and it’s very interesting,” Ten Hag said.
“I’m sure he’ll really help our game as a team, but especially as a goalkeeper, as a force, as a team, their position in the team and how they fit into the team and play together.”
The Dutch coach came up through the ranks with Emmen as a player before he moved to PSV Eindhoven. While contracted to PSV, he spent time out on loan at Groningen, Twente, PEC Zwolle and FC Eindhoven.
A switch to Austria Wien followed before he was added to the ranks at NAC Breda just twelve months later. He spent nine years with NAC Breda, ทางเข้า ufabet racking up more than 300 appearances in the process.
Ten Rouwelaar then joined Vincent Kompany at Belgian outfit Anderlecht and then followed the former Manchester City defender to Burnley.
Ten Rovelaer worked as goalkeeping coach at Vincent Kompany-managed Anderlecht before moving to Burnley in 2022 and most recently spent just two months at Ajax before joining Erik ten Hag’s new backroom staff.
The 43-year-old’s contract with Ajax runs until 2025, so United would need compensation to make the move happen.
Ten Ruvelaer previously coached the Dutch U20 team and was a goalkeeper in the Eredivisie League for NAC Breda for nine years, making over 300 appearances.
